We’re here to guide you every step of the way – from your first consultation to your brand-new smile. Here's what to expect on your orthodontic journey with us.

Step one

Meet your orthodontic specialist

Whether you’ve been referred by your dentist or booked directly, we’re excited to welcome you to Neyo Orthodontics. Your first consultation is completely free.

During this 30-minute visit, we’ll examine your teeth, talk through your treatment options and costs, and take a 3D digital scan. This helps us better understand your concerns and show you what results are possible.

Step two

Your personalised
treatment plan

Once you’ve decided to go ahead with treatment, we’ll take any necessary X-rays and photographs. From there, we’ll create a custom plan tailored to your goals and preferences.

You’ll receive a detailed report outlining everything you need to know about your treatment – including the expected timeline and costs.

Step three

Fitting your braces

Fitting braces is a straightforward and pain-free appointment that usually takes 30 to 60 minutes. There are no injections, no drills – just the start of your smile transformation.

We’ll also show you how to care for your braces at home. You’ll usually come back every 6 weeks for adjustments, which take about 20 minutes. If anything feels uncomfortable between visits, we’re always here to help.

Step four

The big reveal

This is the moment you’ve been waiting for! Once we’re happy with the final result, we’ll remove your braces and reveal your new smile.

On the same day, we’ll usually fit fixed retainers behind your front teeth to keep everything in place. We’ll also clean and polish your teeth, and we’re happy to chat about optional extras like tooth whitening or custom mouthguards.

Step five

Keeping your smile
with retainers

To make sure your results last, retainers are essential. We’ll provide both fixed (a small wire behind your teeth) and removable (clear plastic night-time) retainers to keep your smile in place.

We’ll see you every six months for the first couple of years to monitor your retainers and make sure everything looks great. And even after that, we’re always here if you have any concerns.
