Who Forsus Springs Are For

What are Forsus Springs?

At Neyo Orthodontics, we offer Forsus Springs as a reliable and efficient way to correct bite issues such as overbites, crossbites, and centreline mismatches. These fixed functional appliances are attached directly to braces and work continuously to reposition the teeth and jaws.

The appliance consists of a small metal rod and a coil spring attached to the upper and lower parts of your fixed braces. It is typically fitted 6–9 months into your braces treatment and worn for around 5–9 months, depending on your bite and treatment plan.

How do Forsus Springs work?

Forsus Springs apply gentle, consistent pressure to guide the lower jaw forward and upper teeth backward. This realigns the bite over time, and may even encourage forward jaw growth in younger patients.

Unlike removable appliances like Twin Blocks, Forsus Springs are fixed in place, meaning they work 24 hours a day, making them ideal for growing patients who may struggle with compliance.
