Forsus Springs treatment
Forsus Springs are a fixed orthodontic appliance use to correct overbites and other bite issues in growing patients. Fitted alongside braces, they work continuously to move the jaw and teeth into better alignment, without relying on patient compliance.

Who Forsus Springs Are For
Suitable for: Ages 11–16
Used to Treat: Overbites, crossbites, centreline discrepancies
Treatment Time: 5–9 months
Not Suitable for: Adults, or patients seeking invisible treatment options

What are Forsus Springs?
At Neyo Orthodontics, we offer Forsus Springs as a reliable and efficient way to correct bite issues such as overbites, crossbites, and centreline mismatches. These fixed functional appliances are attached directly to braces and work continuously to reposition the teeth and jaws.
The appliance consists of a small metal rod and a coil spring attached to the upper and lower parts of your fixed braces. It is typically fitted 6–9 months into your braces treatment and worn for around 5–9 months, depending on your bite and treatment plan.

How do Forsus Springs work?
Forsus Springs apply gentle, consistent pressure to guide the lower jaw forward and upper teeth backward. This realigns the bite over time, and may even encourage forward jaw growth in younger patients.
Unlike removable appliances like Twin Blocks, Forsus Springs are fixed in place, meaning they work 24 hours a day, making them ideal for growing patients who may struggle with compliance.

Benefits of Forsus Springs
Fixed appliance – no need to remember to put it in or take it out
Works with fixed braces – bite correction and tooth alignment happen simultaneously
Swift treatment – Shorter overall treatment time compared to Twin Block appliances
Minimal compliance needed – great for younger, less motivated wearers

Alternatives to Forsus Springs
If visibility or comfort is a concern, you may prefer Invisalign® treatment or Neyo Pro Align with mandibular advancement, which are more discreet options that also correct bite issues.
